Shipping from China to US cost

For “freight”, it refers to the transportation cost from the port of loading in the country of origin of the purchase to the port of destination.

When shipping full container loads (FCL), at least in our 17 years of experience, the price is set almost entirely based on the first option.

Prices for FCL shipments obviously depend on the destination, including distance and volume. Here is an example price for FCL 20” shipping from China to the US:
Shenzhen – Los Angeles: US$2,230 – US$2,460
Shenzhen – New York: $2,275 – $2,515

Less than container load (LCL) shipping is a whole different story. Consolidation rates are usually set at the lowest possible price—sometimes as low as $30 to $40 per cubic meter.
What the freight forwarder doesn’t tell you are local fees, which can add up to three to five times the “shipping cost”.

If some freight forwarders attract you with low freight, then you will have to pay a lot of “surcharges”. However, some importers have been duped time and time again.
In essence, forwarders are forced to adopt these practices because many small businesses importing from China are quick to reject a proper freight quote because it is much more expensive than a rebate rate based quote.

Therefore, the price quoted by Xiongda International Logistics will not be very low, because the price I can offer is transparent.

What are the factors affect shipping from China to US cost?

There are several factors that can affect shipping costs, including:

Supply and Demand: One of the most important factors affecting shipping from China to US cost is supply and demand. When demand for shipping space is high, such as during high season, shipping rates tend to rise. Conversely, shipping rates tend to drop when demand for space is low, such as during an economic downturn.

Fuel Price: Fuel cost is the main factor affecting shipping from China to US cost. When fuel prices are high, shipping lines may increase rates to offset higher fuel costs.

Carrier capacity: The available capacity of the carrier will affect the shipping from China to US cost. If more cargo is to be shipped than available shipping capacity, rates may increase due to high demand for shipping space.

Infrastructure and Port Congestion: Delays caused by port congestion, poor infrastructure, and other factors can also affect shipping rates. When ships experience delays, carriers may increase rates to offset the cost of those delays.

Seasonality and trade patterns: Seasonality and trade patterns can also affect shipping from China to US cost. For example, certain trade routes or commodity types may have higher demand at certain times of the year, which may cause shipping rates to change.

Regulations and compliance: Regulations and compliance requirements can also affect shipping rates. For example, increased security measures or new regulations may increase shipping costs, affecting shipping from China to US cost.
